Cott Farm Furniture’s first competition is a runaway success
Competition winner Maureen Moss was so impressed when she went to a Somerset furniture showroom to collect her gift voucher prize that she used it there and then.
Mrs Moss, from Dorchester, was one of 719 people to enter an online competition run by Cott Farm Furniture in East Chinnock, near Yeovil.
People were asked to spot three differences between two photos on the website www.cottfarmfurniture.co.uk. Entries from all over the UK went into a prize draw from which the winner was chosen.
Mrs Moss, who is retired, used her £100 voucher to buy a sheepskin rug and an ornament.
After visiting the family-run furniture and farm shop with her husband, she said: “We really enjoyed looking around and seeing so many lovely items.
“We loved the furniture – so many different designs and sizes, very well made and realistically priced.”
The competition was open for a month and promoted online via its website and Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as in the shop.
Cott Farm owner Oliver Seyfried said: “We thoroughly enjoyed running our first-ever online competition and from the fantastic response we had, it looks like our customers enjoyed it too.
“We’ll definitely organise more – it’s a great way of staying in touch with customers as well as meeting new ones like Mrs Moss.”
